Can you believe it is November already? In Spain, unusual rain pouring down the coast of the Mediterranean has called for a switch from outdoor tapas to indoor tea. In Boston, the leaves are changing color and Thanksgiving prep is underway!
We, here at Remote Works, are thankful for so many things and wanted to share some of the highlights with you! 🍂 🙏
Ali and Tam's 10 Things We Are Thankful For:
Remote Work enthusiasm! According to the recently released State of Remote Work report by OWL Labs, 84% of employees shared that working remotely after the pandemic would make them happier 🙌
Cool partners & seeing content from our book in action! Like the work we did with Gather and our Energy Tracker.
A new hobby. Ali spent the past 4 weeks learning how to sew and made a patchwork quilt... next up, hopefully, a dress! 🪡👗
Remote education. Tam's been teaching classes on product management, design thinking, and entrepreneurship with upGrad, an ed-tech powerhouse out of India. Check out their courses here.
Sharing a vision for the Future of Work, not just remote work. See Ali's feature here.
Secondhand books. Tam is Thriftbooks most frequent customer and is building up her library, now that she's grown roots in Boston after many years of traveling. 📚🤓
Digital nomad friends. Especially the ones, who have decided to call Javea, Spain home for the next few months. This means more coffee, co-working sessions, and less #WFH for Ali.
Public libraries. The Cambridge Public Library is such a beautiful (and free) remote working space
Amazing conversations while interviewing peer experts for our book. To those we have talked to already, thank you for your time. We can't wait to share your stories! Have stories of your own? Tell us about it!
All of the new faces and continued support as we busily think, create and write our book, Remote Works (and all of our other offerings!)
We'll share more with you next quarter. If you're looking for more real-time updates, feel free to follow us on LinkedIn. Happy holiday season and wishing you all cozy down-time, digital detox-ing, and a great new year!
Stay safe and healthy.
Cheers from our computer to yours,
Ali and Tam
